Parks and Recreation

The city of Raymore places a strong emphasis on recreation and parks. With several parks, sports fields, and green spaces, the community offers residents and visitors plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and leisure. One of the best is Hawk Ridge Park, which has 79 acres of rolling hills, a fully stocked fishing lake, walking trails, shelter house, and amphitheater for musical performances and other community arts programs. Another notable park is "T.B. Hanna Station Park," which is home to several community events throughout the year, including the Mayor's Tree Lighting. The park features “The Depot”- a large covered pavilion, permanent restrooms, big shade trees, picnic tables, Playground, Sprayground (open summers) and an ice skating rink (open in winter months).
